Does any of this sound familiar?

"I used a different yarn than the pattern recommended and my hat came out huge! What is gauge and why does it matter? Do I REALLY have to make a swatch???" (Spoiler: the answer is no, only if you want your item to fit!).

In this 90 minute workshop, we'll turn the numbers in your knitting into plain English so that you can knit with the confidence that your finished item will come out the way you want it, without leaving your head spinning.

Homework:

Using worsted weight yarn and US7 or US8 needles, cast on 20 stitches. Work in stockinette (knit 1 row, purl 1 row) for 20 rows. Bind off. No need to block or weave in ends.
